Hey I have an msi 970A-G46 Motherboard with the AMD FX-8150 Overclocked to 4.8GHz @ 1.48V and it has had some freezing and stuttering issues at times and it takes about 2 and a half minutes to load Windows 7. I only have one stick of Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600MHz RAM. I only have an msi GT 630 4GB GDDR3 Graphics Card right now. I was wondering what is the difference between the 970A Chipset & 990FXA Chipset. If I upgraded to the 990FXA Chipset, would I see an improvement in my Processor? Any help would be appreciated. Get another identical stick of ram so that it runs in dual channel mode , your losing performance with one stick.
