I have an Acer v3 551 for a little over a year now. My laptop idle at 90C and i have seen it hit 140C! when playing games and it shuts down after that. I dissemble my laptop completely, remove and clean the fan and i notice the thermal compound is all dried up so a replace it with some Arctic Silver 5 and temps stays the same. Only difference i notice is the fans is a lot quieter.
