I have had this build picked out for a while for several days now, and just today a compatibility issue has popped up on PCPartPicker:

"Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs"

This is my first build, so I don't really understand what this means for me.

Here is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ukvD

How would I update the BIOS prior to using the processor if I need to finishing building the computer first? I already bought the processor, so should I look for another motherboard (if so, any suggestions for less than $100?)?

just with asus web page to make sure but this motherboard like my sabertooth has a usb flashback port. with it you dont need a cpu or ram to update the bios. just a usb stick with the updated bios file and a power supply.

Dont know if its a little out of budget, but for 15$ More you could get a better motherboard, with a better chipset and no bios issues. The AsRock 990FX Extreme 3. Im using one right now and it runs perfect. and the UEFI Is great.

Since I posted this I decided to try using my brain and ctrl+f my processor, and several people are saying they were able to run it without having to do anything special. This one guy in particular brought up the flashback thing you are mentioning:

"Pros: Running an FX 8320 without any BIOS flashback thing.
8-Pin power connector
4 RAM slots
Everything you need in a motherboard, and it's a hell of an overclocker (with 4+2 power phase)

Cons: Can't thing of any, I'll update if something happens.

Other Thoughts: Good motherboard, has LED to indicate if it works. Posted really fast, no fails.
If you have an FX 8320 or FX 8350, you DO NOT have to do a bios flashback."

This is the same processor as me, right? So according to this guy I should be ok?
