I just upgraded my system, new PSU, RAM and video card. I tried to boot it but I got beep codes, short then long and repeat. So I decided to put back the old RAM just to try and it booted up and went to login screen. I wanted to know if this new ram is just dead on arrival or if it's something else. Any help would be nice

Motherboard: H-IG41-uATX
RAM: KHX16C9B1R/4. It's Kingston Hyper X 4GB

More about : boot ram installed

if your system boots up with the old ram then the new ram is dead on arrival and should request for it to be replaced where you bought it or rma'ed by the brand you bought it from
