So about 3 days ago I had gotten a new graphics card (GeForce GTX 780 AMP!) and when I was installing I shorted out my motherboard. Today I had gotten a new one and everything had been working fine until I heard a loud popping noise and my computer died. I was wondering if it was my power supply but the light on the motherboard still seems to be working.

My system:
CPU- AMD A8 3800
8gb DDR3 memory
Motherboard- F1 A55-M LE R2.0
PSU- xtremegear XG-H600 - 600w power

A loud pop noise? Shivers. Had you made sure all sockets coming from the PSU were plugged in appropriately? I would say it's your power supply to be honest. I've seen it happen. The GTX 780 has a power draw of 250w so with your CPU and everything else it doesn't leave much head space unfortunately.

You wouldn't have an image of the open case would you?
