Right now i have my 7 year old stock Dell keyboard and have used it since i got my old Dell computer 7 years ago. I want a new keyboard that is quiet and is good for typing, i assume it will be good for gaming too. The keyboard being quiet is the biggest part i want here, i hate the loud clicking sound when i type and just put my fingers on the keys. I would like it to be backlit, but if it will drive the price up too much, i can deal without it being backlit. I want it to be easy and smooth to type with and i will also be gaming with it. Ive been thinking about the Microsoft Sidewinder X4, it looks nice, is backlit, and only $40, not sure if its quiet or good for typing though. Also, i have no need for all the bells and whistles most gaming keyboards have, like macro keys, media keys and such, i dont use that stuff, i just use wasd and the rest of the main keys. Although, i would really like a decent anti-ghosting capability in my keyboard, right now my Dell keyboard can only respond to like 3 keys being pressed at once and that is really bad for gaming. Please keep the price under $70. So any recommendations or feedback? Thanks!

I've heard the x4 isn't bad but I had the x6 and it was literally the worst keyboard I've ever used bar none. It had bad ghosting problems and just overall wasn't very good. Idk if this holds true to all non mechanical keyboards but they all seem kinda the same to me so no since in going and spending $70 on one that just has flashy lights. As to noise there aren't many loud ones its the noise of your finger contacting the key that is loud not the keypress itself that makes the most noise

Either way i just want a quiet keyboard lol. Oh yeah, ive heard the X6 had bad ghosting, thats why they made the x4. X4 can respond to 26 keys!
