Hello, I bought an OCZ 128GB Cache drive and have spent the last week trying to cache it with my 2TB HDD. The caching works, but the big problem is that I can only use 64GB of the SSD to EITHER Cache OR use as an SSD. The drive works in a way as 64GB are open to use and the other 64GB are hidden and can be "opened" and used by the Dataplex software included with the SSD. However, I cannot get the hidden 64GB to be used as cache. The software simply uses the open 64GB and I am left with 0GB or SSD space, so I essentially bought a 64GB drive and cached it.

Does anyone know how to use the "locked" 64GB of SSD space in the 128GB drive?
Thank you!

Is there a particular reason you want to use that 64 as cache for the HDD?
The OS and applications on the 128, and files that don't really need that speed on the HDD.

But yes...the SSD cache thing is generally limited to 64GB. I think if you partition it into two 'drives' you can use both. But IMHO, that is a serious kludge.

Sorry, but you misunderstand how the OCZ Synapse Cache drive works. The Synapse drives use 50% overprovisioning for performance & software features. So the 128GB model has only 64GB available to the end user and the 64GB model has only 32GB available to the end user.
