I already have the R9 270, and right now my processor can't handle it. I was wondering if an upgrade to the AMD FX-4130 will work better. If not, could you recommend one?

Okay, I'm going to change this completely and say that I am currently looking at the AMD FX-4300 processor, ASUS M5A78L-M LX Plus AM3+ AMD 760G Micro ATX Motherboard, and the R9 270(which I already have). Will the 3 be compatible/good for gaming?

um, what is your current cpu? an fx 4300 would be better, or 6300 even better. the 41xx, 61xx and 81xx cpu's are based on the bulldozer core, which is very inefficient for gaming.

Right now, I have an Intel Celeron E3400. My current mobo has a LGA 775 slot so I was also planning on getting a new motherboard so I could use an AMD processor.

well the 4300 isnt bad, but the 6300 only cost a few $$ more. Personal preference would be to get a haswell or ivy bridge intel i3 or i5, better for gaming than amd cpu's.
