I have 2 sticks of g skill ripjaws x series ram equaling 8gb @ 1600mhz and wonder if i can add another set of the same ram?

I want to know if it is possible to buy another set of the exact same ram and change it to 16gb quad channel memory? Can i do this.

thats right motherboard and CPU must support quad channel but if you just meant have 4 sticks running at the same time then thats fine too but it will be running dual channel mode

I have an intel i5 4670k which supports dual channel as the only CPUs that currently support quad channel are haswell i7's, and i have it paired with the Asus Maximus VI Hero Z87, both support dual channel. So i can run 4 sticks=16gb at dual channel speeds?
