That's a video of what's going on. Posting this on my phone while a bit irritated because I can't copy and paste everything . This is my 2nd build.

Motherboard GA-Z87X-D3H
Cpu 4670K
Ram 2X4 Cmz8gx3m2a1600c9r
Case http://m.tigerdirect.com/products/3828299?SRCCODE=WEBLET03SHIP

Psu cmpsu-750tx

Only my psu and ssd are used from my old build that I tried to replace with my new one yesterday. Retested those today and they work. It stays on in bios forever as long as I can tell. Shuts off after starting windows screen when trying to find install windows.

My only theory after disassembling and reassembling with the same results is that I didn't do a good enough job installing the heatsink and it overheats and shuts off when starting windows. Had trouble with the stock thermal paste. Got an aftermarket hs and some As5 coming(was supposed to arrive today ).

Anyways let me know what y'all think or if any other information would be helpful. Sorry for the rambling disorganized posted. Too tired and lazy to proofread on my phone.

A secure erase is frequently recommended. The 100MB partition in front of the OS partition must be erased too. Either use software, like Samsungs' SSD Magician, or put it in another PC and verify that the entire SSD is deleted. Then I would not format it. Let Windows do the formatting on a "like new" SSD. If it stays on indefinately in the BIOS, I doubt it would overheat just trying to load the OS. I think it would have more likely overheated during the OS install if that were the case.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's the problem. It does the same thing when I try to run live Linux from USB with no hard drive plugged in. As soon as I hit enter to try Ubuntu without installing it shuts off.

Update

Cleaned off the stock thermal compound, and reinstall with some as5

Still nothing, driving me crazy now

Update 2
Just popped in my video card and now it's working. Did I misunderstand or am I supposed to be able to run my setup without one?
