Alright so about 3-4 days ago I got AC4 and downloaded it via uplay. The first two days I could play the game fine. I even played 4 hours straight the first day. But then yesterday I tried repeatedly to play the game (singleplayer) and it freezes. Everything is smooth and fine when I start up the game until after I select my saved game and it starts loading. Then it goes into the part where Kenway can run around while it loads in some weird blue space. After about 5 secs of that loading time it freezes. EVERYTIME same spot too! I've tried updating my GPU drivers and even lowering the settings of the game and nothing seems to work. Only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling it but I want to try everything I can first because it takes all night to download again. My PC is pretty powerful too so I don't think that's the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

My specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670
Memory 8 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

I have your exact specs, dont have the problem, running all high. Maybe save file is corrupt? I am running ver 1.0 if you patched it that could be a bug from that too, if you can play any other game fine then yeah...

I see that you have not had any assistance with this since January. However, I just bought this game the middle of last month and was having the same issue(s) you were. Did you get yours fixed? Are you still having the same problem(s)? If you are you could try going into your Video Card Control Panel and where is says "Maximum Prerendered Frames" change the setting to 1 (one). It seems that with the newer vid cards out today they are powerful enough to handle this. It actually has reduced the temp a couple of degrees on my card. I have also done this to my wife's computer and was able to set her card to 0 (zero) and OMG can't believe the difference. I have since set this Globally for all my games to 1 (one) the difference is astonishing!!! Hope this helps!!

Update: Wanted to also let you know that after doing this, just as a test, I took ALL video settings in the game and moved them all up at one time. The difference in the game with my GeForce 760 was Amazing to say the least. I have got games now DayZ stand alone that I really enjoy playing now that I have NO LAG in the video!!!
