Crashing, A Huge Problem

Okay so this problem started with my recent upgrade. It went as follows:
2500K-->4770K
Asus P8Z68-V PRO-->Asus Maximus VI Formula
CX430-->AX760i
(and i'm waiting to add another 660 for SLI when everything is solved)

I had upgraded my Hyper 212 EVO to a small custom CPU loop (Apogee Drive II, Black Ice GT Stealth XFLOW 240--and a 120 not in the loop as of yet--and an Alphacool Cape Corp Coolplex 10L Tube Reservoir) and I thought that might've been the problem.

Anyway, to the actual problem at hand...whenever I try to run Far Cry 3 (through Steam and then through UPlay) or 3DMark 11, right before either program launches from their respective loading screens, the entire system crashes and the CPU Fan goes into overdrive. I'm talking like 100% max and will continue unless I switch off the PSU.

Since I thought it had something to do with the pump, I extracted my whole loop from my HAF XB and reinstalled my stock Intel heatsink. Needless to say, i'm still having the same problem.

All my drivers are up to date, everything is seated correctly, etc. I've never had this problem before and I can't find ANYTHING related to this on Google. The problem may or may not be the same for other programs. To be honest, I'd rather not, the reservoir looked like it was gonna explode and my little stock Intel fan looked like it was gonna fly right off the motherboard.

As far as the apps i've run successfully, they're as follows:
CoreTemp
Google Chrome
SeaTools
MSI Afterburner (to turn off my OC on my 660 as a troubleshoot)
MS Office
CPU-Z
GPU-Z
a P2P client
VLC Player
and even State of Decay off of Steam

Please move this to the correct topic if it it in the wrong place; I've been working with computers for a while now and i've never come across anything like this.

Also, this 660 worked fine in my last setup, so it's not the card itself. I replaced it with the new 660 and the same thing happened, so that might narrow it down to the CPU/Mobo/PSU/Programs but i'm really not sure.

The working apps? Little over idle. With my WC on and my OC temps were at ~30C. With the stock CPU fan and no OC, ~40C. The programs that crash don't make it to launch (only the initial load screen if anything) so the temps are pretty much identical to the other light apps (internet, etc, at about 40C with stock fan).
