At this moment, I am runnng "Chkdsk F: /F" as administrator. Out of over 200,000 files, it is now at 2,017. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. This is my original drive which prompted me to get a different drive to use now. I need to get a bunch of files off the original hard drive. Is it possible? If so, please provide a complete step-by-step process. I do not follow you if you use any jargon. Please K.I.S.S.!

If files are not accessible in the usual way, you will have to send the drive to a data recovery specialist, but be warned, that's very expensive.
