My Windows 7 weather gadget was recently somehow corrupted. I don't remember what event caused it to happen, and of course, a Google search reveals no result that indicates anyone on the planet has ever in their lifetime witnessed the very same problem. Image attached.
The weather gadget, which is supposed to show a background image, instead is transparent. Right-clicking only the content of the Gadget opens the settings menu.
I've already tried deleting and re-adding the gadget to the desktop.
Included is an image indicating the problem.

Would anyone please suggest a solution? Thanks in advance.
