Hi,

I installed a new window xp on my C drive, i had already one installed on D drive of my computer.
But now the boot choices are gone and the window on D drive boot path is not appearing in Run>Msconfig>Boot.Ini as well. That window is used by someone else. How can i make it appear again
one more thing > 2 days before the windows on D drive showed missing profile message at start and it opened without the original profile.
:/
Helpppp

Solution
1. Go to Control Panel \ System \ Advanced \ Startup and Recovery \ Settings \ Edit \ and copy & paste the text below replacing what you already have in the Boot.ini file. Save and Exit. The OS Boot Selection Screen should be back and the line added to msconfig.

It involves some registry editing and folder renaming, etc. so you may want to apply the easiest solution which is to...

==================
copy and paste the following text to your Boot.ini file:
----------------------------
[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional C" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional D" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
