So I just built this new computer and I've been told that my GPU is too close to my CPU. I'm just really trying to optimize the temperature and still make it look good.

My questions are:
1. Should I move it down to the other PCI slot on the bottom or just keep it the way it is?
2. Would it be too close to the PSU if I move it down?
2a. Would it cause the GPU to overheat since it's near the power supply?
3. Any suggestions to clean up my cable management?

Here are some pictures of my set up.

I'm pretty new to these stuff, so I'd appreciate some helpful feedback. Thank you!

You generally MUST install your GPU in the 1st slot closest to the CPU, or it may not work at all....

With that monster side fan, you won't have any heat build up inside the case....

You cabling already looks pretty darn good...

Run SpeedFan and check your CPU temperatures while running Prime95. Generally those stock Intel coolers aren't the best (louder and hotter than aftermarkets) Get a Cooler Master 212 EVO or something similar.

You are just fine with the CPU and GPU layout, and from the looks of it you have plenty of cooling for the CPU, don't know what kind of case you have so I don't know if you have any additional cooling for the GPU, a 120mm or 140mm case fan on the side of the case would be great.

most primary GPUs go in that top slot. Looks like you are using the stock CPU cooler though, for the sake of $20, I'd get a coolermaster EVO or similar. The big fan on the side of your case will keep it pretty cool I reckon
