Why do people say that processor doesn't matter for gaming?

If the processor didn't matter for gaming we would all be rocking p4s instead of i5s & i7s & the processor does matter for gaming cause a low clock speed cpu would bottleneck a high end gpu unless you oc it & there are lots of games out there that are cpu dependent so idk why people say that cpu doesn't matter for gaming

Those people that say that know little to none about PCs then.
Dont know where you find those people, almost everyone here knows that at least.
