Hi guys, I just wanted to ask how can I make the vertical taskbar width occupy only one "column"? Similar to the one featured in the link below:

Because whenever I try to move my taskbar to the left, it always occupies a wider space and I can't shrink the size any further than this:

I have been trying to get mine to do the same for years now and have been researching for years. Some things like remote desktop software and certain games force it there, but it gets reinstated to normal width on a reboot. I have not yet found the registry entry that controls the width with permanency even though I have trawled google all these years. A Microsoft blog last year suggested that it is not supposed to go smaller and only incorrect desktop settings can force it smaller; Windows corrects this 'error' on rebooting. If I could find the registry entry that controls it I would write a script to implement the 'error' at boot.
