hi guys, making my first computer and chosen all the parts and now have a £60 budget for a mouse and keyboard.
i already have a keyboard and mouse, but both aren't very good- but i know that within reason, a keyboard is a keyboard, is a keyboard, whilst a gaming mouse is very different from a normal mouse.
if i were to buy a keyboard and mouse, i would probably go for the perixx mx2000 £25 for the mouse and the perixx 2000 keyboard £32
or
i could go for an expensive mouse and use the keyboard i already have, i was thinking of going for something like the razer deathadder or r.a.t. 5 or 7.

my question is what would be better? and if you can recommend any others, it will be appreciated

The gaming KB and mouse will have an advantage over the regular mouse IF you use the macro keys. IMHO, a regular mouse and KB would be fine bro unless you play WoW or LoL or anything that uses the macro keys REGULARLY. But for aesthetics purposes, i love the DeathAdder 2013. :)

I'll tell you this I have a $20 mouse and a $20 keyboard. Truth be told these "performance" peripherals are often a waste of money they really don't improve your skill or experience and they die very fast. I'll take flack for say that. This is up to you if you really want to spend a good amount of money on these things or save the money.

ok thanks, its just razer is a really good company, so i thought it might be better

Also, comfort is of most importance. You can have the 'best' keyboard/mouse in the world but means nothing if you have to put up with discomfort, hand cramps and accidental keystrokes.

In mice look for macro keys like the Razer Naga if you need it for MMOs with a bajillion buttons.

In keyboards look for backlighting if you play at night or in the dark, and the different Cherry MX mechanical keyboards if you want tactile feedback. Beware some of them are stupid noisy.

Razer is a good company I'm not denying that just wanted to inform you spending $70 plus on a mouse or keyboard wont improve gameplay. Like adimeister stated unless you play macro essential games they don't help. I play 25-30 hours of games a week and ive had this mouse a keyboard for about 5 years and I'm quite content. I will however say i drop lots of money into my head phones since i like great sound. The kraken is a great headset. I personally use Astro A40's.

Well it doesn't really matter what keyboard and mouse you have. I only choose razer because of their built quality. Ive had 2 steelseries headsets and 1 steel series mouse and they all stopped working on each of their ways. Ive had 1 razer mouse for 1 year now and 1 razer headset for 9 months now, no failiure. I only play with the razer taipan because it got 8200dpi and i got the razer blackwidow ultimate because i got a good deal on it. Once you get used to mechanical keyboards you wont be able to go back to membrane x)
