My laptop suddenly lost connection with the WiFi

All other appliances are working. I don't have a WiFi button on my
Toshiba satelite C660/C660D. I've tried the F8 and FN buttons still no luck. Plz help.

Yes it does. It stopped working and the next day it worked and then stopped again... I uninstalled and reinstalled Ubuntu 13.10 and it still didn't work,,, I thought that would do the trick... My mobile and nexus is both on the same WiFi and they connect, so it must be something with the laptop.,,

I don't have any others to connect to today, I'll try to connect to another network tomorrow and see if it works on a different one. I can't reset the rotor or what its called because I'm staying at their house while they are on holiday and I can't find it!! Usually that works, but I have no clue where the thing is... I've unplugged their movie boxes etc if it was connected to that but that didn't work either...
