HD 7770 or HD 7790 will produce similar results on 1920 x 1080 resolution. Or you can go higher like HD 7850 or GTX 650Ti Boost 2GB or GTX 760

7750 . but since both have almost same prices then still go for 7770 ,its a budget-king.

Higher resolutions effect FPS, you are talking about lower resolutions, so there will be no effect, rather you could get better FPS like 60+ on 1440 x 900 with HD 7770.

Like timetoplay said, the 7750, it's not that much cheaper though, so if you can spare the what $10 or so, then I'd go with the 7770.
If you want one from the green side, then it's the GT 650 I think.

edit (as in add-ed): If you go even lower than that, because that is where you are trying to get (am I right?), then you land into the low-end gpu realm, which are performance-wise quite a bit worse.

7750 is probably the correct answer. You could also probably get away with a 7730 or 6670 ddr5

Yes the 7750 will work. But it's not sensible to downgrade the Gpu just because you have a smaller resolution. So it is recommended to get 7770 unless price difference between the 2 is high in your country.
Also the 7770 needs an extra power connector from the PSU.
