I wanted to know which psu I should get for this build. I doubt I will do any kind of overclock and I don't pretend to do crossfire. I will have a lot of cheesy leds and fans on it though.

£49.99 XFX Core Edition Pro 550w vs £54.99 OCZ ZS Series 650W

My Build:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor £107.93
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card £129.99

Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard £49.49
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £42.00
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory £62.99
Case: CiT Vantage Type-R Gaming Case 4 LED Fans £35.01
Optical Drive: Random one that I stole from an old computer

Thanks for your time.

spend the extra £5 for another 100W. Why not? They're both decent, reliable brands. Not top end, but reliable.

550W is plenty for that, and the XFX PSU is arguably a little better quality than the OCZ ZS unit.

Note that there's only a 2A difference on the 12V rail. So really there's only 24W between them.

I heard that the Xfx Pro can go up to 600w if needed. Is this reliable?

Most likely yes. Most quality PSUs can give 5-10% more than they are rated for. But you wouldn't want to run it like that, certainly not sustained (as opposed to short spikes). Ripple often increases a lot when you push a power supply beyond its spec.
