I think you should read some guides first before going any further to be on the safe side. But ultimately its pretty straight forward.

It's alittle outdated but methods are the same

ignore part about flashing ROM

http://www.overclock.net/a/getting-started-with-radeon-...

went through the article.... it was helpful.....going to study some more about it... with default factory mood i got about 10500 score on 3dmark11 and after changing the core clock from 1020 mhz to 1118 mhz and memory clock 1500 to 1550 mhz ( with 20 to 30 mhz increment) with msi afterburner my final score for gpu was 11,400 . Anyway,i did not tweaked the voltage options.Constant temperature was revealed up to 65 degrees.fan speed was increased to 70%.After setting the core clock from 1118 mhz to 1120 mhz 3dmark11 software showed error.so is this my maximum limit of core clock with out voltage tweak ? can i achieve more from my gpu?

yep maybe the limit without volt adjust

I successfully overclocked my gpu(R( 280x) from Core clock/memory clock=1020/1500 MHZ to 1200/1650 MHZ by using 'TRIXX'(VDCC was 1293)

hey how much was your power limitation and core voltage?
