If you are considering both and have the cash for r9 280x, go that route(much faster, very overclockable, more future proof with more video ram). You do have a 64 bit OS, right? A number of other folks I've encountered doing upgrades purchased in India are running 32 bit windows. The two cards do have very different power requirements, though(gtx660 less than 150w so works with the peg slot and 1 pcie 6pin, r9 280x I believe requires at least 2 pcie 6pin connectors if not a 6pin and 8pin depending on the model). You want to make sure your psu is up to powering whichever card you choose

Yes, but why gtx 660 and r9 280x are priced same ?? Check the links

The second link for r9 280X is a thinkdigit link, its not a real store price

I've contacted ASUS and 22,000 is the store price :)

Unless i see it in a store for that price i won't accept that price. And always check part numbers. There are different models by the same brand and all are different and different in pricing also. The nice ones will always be priced higher

Thats the same thing that is hapenning to me. I cannot accept the price. Look at the link - http://www.junglee.com/XFX-RADEON-1000MHz-Graphics-R9-280X-TDFD/dp/B00FSC5N66/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389008893&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=asus+r9+280x
XFX R9 280x which is clocked at 1000 MHz is available at 24,000 at it a store price, and the gtx 660 at 22,000. How ??
