Hey there.
I've had my HP Pavilion dv6 for over a year now, and I'm a bit concerned with the temperatures.
On idle temperatures it is usually 50 degrees + (Usually anything from 55-60).
On full load it can be anything from 63-70+ (I don't recall it ever hitting 80)
The reason I'm concerned is because my fan has been grinding for quite a while now, sometimes it's not very noticeable, other times it is hell. I'm going to most likely get this problem resolved by taking it to a repair shop in the next few days -- I don't really want to try myself as I'm no good with laptops at all, I guess it's the confined space the components are in, always have seen them to be a lot more delicate than desktop.
If these temperatures aren't great, I want to know whether or not that'll be worth mentioning to the repair shop, otherwise it could just be perhaps the fan isn't operating as effectively as it should so it is higher than it should be.
It's also worth mentioning to you guys that I have switchable graphics on this laptop, a Radeon HD 7470M and intel integrated graphics. I've put the graphics on fixed rather than dynamic as I often play games so I use the Radeon a lot more, could be a contributor to the heat.
As well as --
Intel i7-2670QM @ 2.20GHz (Turbo to 3.10GHz)
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
Windows 7
Thanks
