Why am I getting a 75% DROP in download speeds via a hardwired internet connection compared to my WiFi connection? I am running the hardwire through my modern to a Solwise adapter to a power line (electric plug) via a second solwise adapter plug to my computer (laptop)?

Powerline ethernet is very dependent on the condition of the home wiring. It is not an automatic "works at advertised speeds".

Also, which specific Solwise models do you have?
What was/is your WiFi speed?
What speed do you pay the ISP for?

Hi bud,
Solwise is a 1 Gbs offering with multigaming capability, but just 1 computer connected, wifi at 4Mbs, max Ips is 4-6Mbs.

Hope this helps

That's all correct. Outside world says 3.5 - 4mbs wifi, 0.25-o.5Mbs with power line! :(

Is there any possibility of trying it with just a temporary ethernet cable direct from the router to the PC? That might eliminate the ethernet ports on the back as being the culprit.

But as said, Powerline is very sensitive to the internal house wiring. Try it in a different wall plug, maybe.
