Hello, I recently purchased Skyrim and started modding it using Nexus Mod Manager.

I have been watching this YouTube playlist - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP

I got to modding the textures and tried to install the Skyrim HD 2K (Lite) and NMM says that it has installed yet when I open my game nothing changes!

Current Mods:
- A Quality World Map
- Immersive HUD
- Pure Waters
- SKSE Scripts
- SkyUI
- Unofficial High Resolution Patch
- Unofficial Skyrim Patch

All of this along with The High Res DLC. Also, I am using BOSS.

Can someone tell me what is going on? Or tell me how they have installed these mods?

Here is the video I am following - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ_zpjeVICE&list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP&index=7

Perhaps the textures didn't go to the right places. I've never liked NMM, and I've always downloaded things manually, but you have to make sure those textures were sent to the Data folder in Skyrim. Also, even turning the textures on medium drops the texture resolutions severely. Make sure they are on high.

I'll give it a go, although I tried it manually before and it didn't work either! And I have my setting set to ultra so no problems there. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've just finished now, I dragged the texture folder from each into my Skyrim data folder and merged and folders and moved and replaced all files and it hasn't changed a thing, I really have no clue what's going on.

EDIT: I even disabled the High Res DLC which didn't work either.

^^^This.

Also, I am not unfamiliar to this. I've never had a problem with every mod I've ever downloaded except Static Mesh Improvement. Those 2d ropes would never become 3d. I've first done it manually through nexus. Never worked. I then did it through steam, which should mean everything should have been done right. Textures never became 3d.

Also, I think I had a problem with this when it came to ground textures. I was told mipmaps had to be configured. I don't even remember what I did, whether it was configuring mipmaps or something else, but I got something to work. I know that's useless info. Sorry :/

Are you installing manually with Nexus Mod Manager or doing drag and drop? Because you can't download through Nexus Mod Manager, you only can install with Nexus Mod Manager after you've manually download through the website.

If you're manually installing the mods via dragging and dropping files, I'd uninstall Skyrim and then reinstall and then install the mods via Nexus Mod Manager.

I've downloaded manually, dragged and dropped and it didn't work and I've tried downloading with manager, and activating using Nexus and that didn't work either.

I've installed all my other mods with Nexus Mod Manager.
