Hi guys I got my 7990 two months ago.
I was using catalyst 13.9 and 13.11v8 beta, I was geting scores of X63xx on 3dMark11, everything on stock.

Yesterday i undervolted it to see if i could get better temps. Well it worked, i got it stable at 1.160volts and stock clocks and getting scores of X61xx with max temp -10celsius compared to stock voltage.

Today i updated my driver to catalyst 13.12 and the rest of my hardware/software is exactly the same.
Now im getting scores of X50xx on stock and X47xx if I undervolt it and keep the clocks, I tried to overvolt and overclock as much as I could i my highest score was X5138.
I also checked that on games, and my fps dropped from arround 10-25 fps on average. I dont know what the hell is going on, and I need some kind of help.
I've also seen that my gpu usage dropped from arround 95-100% (yesterday) to 60-70% (today, after the driver update).

Shall i just go back to the last driver and see what happens? I tried to research and I found no similar issues on my card and driver.

Thanks a lot guys.

Yea, try to revert and see if your performance goes back up. I thought the latest drivers were supposed to help 7990, CFX and frame pacing.

At first just try removing the current driver and install the latest WHQL driver. Its always on the home page of techpowerup.com on the right side.

Thats the version I currently have, I already tried to reinstall it but it didnt work. Then I removed it and installed an older version but it didnt work either.
Now im downloading the driver version i had before which was released 1.5 month ago and see what happens.

thanks dude!

Nah, i tried the driver I had before. CCC 13.11v8 yesterday X63xx score on 3DM11 today after installing new driver removing it and reinstalling 13.11v8 X4722.

The gpu usage is around 60-70 percent on both gpus (they have some small peaks to 100%).

Am I doing something wrong?

Hey guys, just updating the post.

I finally got it almost done as it was before, this is what i did:
I decided to remove every single thing related to graphics, including all amd software and msi afterburner (this beta version was screwing me up). then after all the reboots I installed last WHQL driver from techpowerup.com (13-12) rebooted and tried 3DM11 and I got score of X6137 which is quite good although its like 200points below of what i was getting before but im happy. I'll try to find out where this -200 points are comming but not caring so much, after all its not -1600points as just before.

What im doing now is trying to reinstall afterburner and see if there is defenetively something wrong with it

I'll update with news as this may help some other people.

It was the afterburner beta, 2.3.1 is fine.
