Reccomended AMD CPU for gaming?

Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good value for money AMD CPU that is going to be primarily used for gaming? Currently I have a AMD Phenom II X4 965BE @4.1GHz and I just bought a new GPU (MSI GTX770 Lightning) and I feel this old Phenom is bottlenecking this new card.

Would the FX-6350 be a good choice to upgrade to?

The FX-6300 or FX-8320. They have lower stock clocks than the 6350 and 8350 respectively, but that's not much of a difference when they can all be overclocked freely.

Many thanks for the reply! It does make sense to spend less and get the 6300 and OC it, however after looking at some other configurations with people using the 6300, will I still have the same issue of bottlenecking the GTX 770?

At the same time, I would of thought the FX-8320 would be a bit overkill just for gaming, so what would you suggest as the recommended companion for the GTX 770 Lightning?
