Hi Everyone! I have recently put together a computer that's been blue screening quite a bit. I was wondering if any of you can help me to figure out the problem so I can either RMA a part or fix it accordingly.

This is the DMP file: http://

My specs are:
i4670k 3.4ghz
ASUS Z87-A motherboard
GTX 650
Corsair XMS 1x8 DDR3-1600 RAM
Corsair TX650 650W PSU
120gb kingston ssd
1TB WD blue hdd

Thank you for your time!

EDIT: Just put up a new link to the dmp sorry for the bad link the first time!

-slightly different but still looks like a memory call failed (was all zeros)

looks like you installed McAfee total protection, another version of Symantec and still have the old version of Symantec installed.
symantec corporation drivers installed

You will want to...

A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.

Arg2: fffffa8009e5b028, Address of the WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure.

directx made a direct memory access that failed.
your video card driver is somewhat up to date OCt 22 2013
norton anti virus is from 20ll.

I would do the following
- uninstall norton anti virus, it is outdated and you will not get the fixes for it unless you pay them.
- you have a almost up to date nvidia driver and a old and moldy directx driver
update your directx:
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113
you might also want to update your nvida driver to a current version, they kind of work together to make your game run correctly

-run control panel and check for windows updates, install and reboot, and recheck until none are left.

do these and see if you get another bugcheck.

Ok! I went to the directX link that you provided and it says that I already have the 11.1 that was available for download. Are there any further updates for it that I need? I updated my Nvidia drivers and tried to perform a Windows Update and it bluescreened again. I don't know if the bluescreen cause is different so i posted the dmp again. http://

You will want to uninstall all of these until you get your system stable. you can use Microsoft security essentials until the problem is resolved.
These antivirus programs introduce timing delays that look like hardware failures to the OS, then the system bugcheck with a failure like the one you
have. It looks like you have a memory issue. (physical RAM or RAM inside your CPU)

-if you get another bugcheck with the Antivirus removed you then want to update your BIOS, the vendor will fix CPU microcode and logic errors on their motherboard by makeing a patch in the BIOS.
- next step would to be to run a RAM test and the intel cpu tester (as a attempt to rule out physical problems)

Ok! I uninstalled all of them and ran the Intel Diagnostic and it passed. When i ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, I ran the Extended test and the test froze up at 21% twice. I let it sit there for like half an hour and it just stalled there, so I'm going to try and RMA it. I tried doing windows updates as well and i got an error 800B0100. What exactly does that mean?

Also, thank you for your help! I really appreciate it.

I'll update the thread when my new stick of RAM comes in if I get any more errors.
