Unexplained FPS Drop in Heaven Benchmark

Hey guys,

I've been overclocking my GTX770 with MSI afterburner and been getting decent results. My afterburner settings are in the link below. I've gotten a score of 1100 and an average FPS of 41.1 which is quite a good score. However if I then run the Benchmark again the FPS usually drops by 10-20 frames in most areas during the second attempt. I've ruled out and tried to fix most obvious things I can think of including:

> My temps are rarely above 75c and never above 80c and my temp limit is set to 90c so this isn't an issue. However I have noticed during the second attempt that the card will run a lot cooler (55-65c) This lead me to think that overclock was not running in the second and third attempts however Heaven, Afterburner and CPUZ all report that the overclock is still operational.
>My power draw is rarely over 70% so power is no issue
>CPU usage is usually around 30%-50% so no bottleneck
>CPU Temp is barely over 60c
>Changed power management to max performance in Nvidia control panel
>Changed priority to high in Windows Task Manager

My specs are in my sig, my CPU is running at 4.6Ghz and my RAM is at stock but I'm not sure why these things would be effecting anything. This also happens in games where the longer I play the worse performance gets down to about 30fps. However restarting the computer fixes the problem immediately. I am completely out of ideas as to what is causing this. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

It's the GPU..
There's something (a program) that will lock it to max power state out there somewhere.
As for starting to lag while gaming..That could be VRAM filling up.
or not..depends which game/settings.
