Shader Model 3 video card.

My game keeps saying my video card must support shader model 3. I have DirectX 10. I am also running Windows Vista. Does it support shader model 3? If so, what can I do to update it or get it to run and stop saying that. If not, how do I fix my laptop so that it will run shader model 3.

sorry but you cant change that.you need new gpu which cannot be changed on(most) laptops .dx10 supports greater than 3. shader model 3 surfaced about 10 years ago. time for upgrade..

well if you install windows 7 wou will have direct x11. that doesnt mean your card is an dx11 capable vga.your vga supports dx9b and shader model 2. if the game has a minimum of shader 3 or above you cant pay it

dx9b shader model 2 windows xp
dx9c shader model 3
dx10 // 4 windows vista
dx11 // 5 windows xp
