Hi, This just started happening a few weeks ago.

Setup:
CPU: Intel Core2Duo
MB: Gigabyte GA-P35
PS:650 Watt (bought from workmate with case)
Video Card: NVidia GTX260 (bought new)
Several fans in case (all working).
Age: 7 - 8 yrs. (I usually upgrade every 4 - 5 yrs.). Purchased parts and assembled as opposed to purchasing whole from a store.

This happens when I'm gaming (either POE or Skyrim) whether I'm in the heat of battle or idle. I've never seen this before.

My guesses: PS or video card.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Most likely, your GPU is overheating you could download OpenhardwareMonitor.
You can run a plot on GPU temperature (select GPU temp) then view as a plot, and set time window to 10 or 20 minutes.
Then play your game, and once in a while pause to check your temperature. You should be able to see the temperature behaviour of the GPU as you are playing. and pausing.

Hi.
Thanks for your response!
I downloaded it , but not sure what I'm seeing. All temps look nominal. I upgraded to a GTX460 and it got worse resulting in a "blue" screen. PS? 650W I bought used.
I have a 600W that fits the config (still good as far as I know. Bought new) in my XP computer that I'm planning on transferring to my Win7 computer to test it out.
After that, CPU and MB???
PS: Looks like the GTX260 is still good.
