Strange answer as you said you already had a Leopard disk. These old versions of OS X are no longer sold (I believe) any more than ancient versions of Windows are. In either case eBay is a useful source.
When looking to buy software it is probably better to phrase the question as "where can I buy XXX" rather than "where can I download XXX".
I am not looking for a pirated copy. And I have now determined I need snow leopard. I was looking for a download I could buy, put on a disc, and install it. I didn't know if that was even possible as I have never dealt with Mac before.
