Can I switch been onboard video and dedicated video if I have both VGA and DVI cables plugged in?

I am doing my first ever build next week sometime and when it is setup I am gonna use the onboard video just to make sure it runs and then am gonna plug in my other cable into the dedicated video when I install the 2nd SSD but if I have both plugged in will I be able to just switch between the two on the fly?

Are you having multiple monitors? On startup, it will automatically change output to the GPU, but you can easily set it back up to output to the iGPU or GPU, although I don't know why you would only want the integrated graphics.
