I have a B85M-HD3 and was in the BIOS. While I was there I turned my integrated graphics on and I have a GTX 770, lets leave my reason for doing that out of the question. Anyway, everything boots, LED's come on, usual. All except the visuals, even after removing my gpu and going straight from the mobo, after a CMOS reset.

Thanks for helping me out

I did not mean to set that as the definitive answer, my ancient laptop is very slow and jerks. I removed the Battery on the mobo

lol no problem. I was confused when I saw that set as best solution!

Anyway, did you have it unplugged and leave the battery out for about a minute?

If so, you can also short the jumper on the motherboard; check the motherboard manual to see where these pins are. Try that as well.

No worries, it's the HDMI cable that's broken. I was just an idiot last night and that completely passed me by
