Question about a 4pin motherboard and the CX430 PSU

Hello, I am completely inexperienced with computer hardware and in need of assistance. I recently purchased a Corsair CX430 PSU but it doesn't appear to be working. I searched online for help and I came across a post on these forums saying that the CX430 is not capable of powering a motherboard that has a 4pin cpu connector. I wasn't sure whether to believe it or not, so I want to confirm it with the experts. Is the Corsair CX430 PSU that has an 8 pin connecter (it splits into 2x 4 pins) compatible with a motherboard that has a 4pin cpu connector? The model of my motherboard is AAHDZ-HY in case you need that info.

The computer doesn't turn on at all when I attempt to start it, When I removed my previous PSU I wrote down the plug in locations of all of the wires and plugged in the corsair's wires in those exact same locations. So far I have two theories as to why it might not be working:

1. I've been told that the computer won't start if the motherboard connector is not plugged in all the way. Mine isn't completely plugged in all the way but it is in very deep, when I attempt to apply more pressure, the motherboard itself starts to bend slightly which puts me off from pushing anymore.

2. Even though I plugged the corsair's wires into the same locations that the previous PSU's wires were in, perhaps it requires even more wires to be plugged in? (So far I have wires in the CD drive, what I'm assuming is the hard drive, the motherboard 24pin connector (as said above it is not in all the way, but it is in very deep), and the CPU 4 pin connector.

How will I know when the clip has been latched? Will there be an audible "clicking" noise?

Well I've been trying to stick the motherboard connector in for roughly an hour with no success. The latch never reaches the "lip" of the motherboard, and the computer still won't even turn on. Perhaps I should just take it to a store and see if they would be able to do anything about it.

Is this the 4-pin you're talking of? One of the two four-pin sections will fit, the other will not. Try the other one.

I've already plugged in the 4 pin cpu connector. I'm now having issues with the 24 pin motherboard connector. No matter how hard I push, the latch never reaches over the "lip". I think it might be the reason that the entire computer won't start.
