Is 550w enough for this build

Ram: corsair vengenance (2x4 gb)

Graphics card:asus gtx 760 d2oc 2gd5 2gb

Motherboard:gigabyte am3+ ga-970a-ds3p

Hdd: seagate barracuda 1 tb

Well, that would depend on the power supply, manufacturer and rating.

I've had a 700w rosewill but come to find out it was only 60% efficient. Had major problems only to realize that psu was cheap crap, while running crossfired 7870's.

Now I have a 750w ultra 80 plus gold, rated at 85% efficiency

So check your psu, or if buying make sure you but a good one. Psu's are expensive, cheap ones are crap. If your psu goes out, it could fry your entire system, so don't cheap out.
