How do I make a computer see a usb flash drive as a CD drive?
OK, here is my story.
I bought a new HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j052nr Notebook PC running Windows 8 and it doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive in it. I don’t want to buy and drag around a external CD/DVD drive. I have installed some games on it using my Desktop CD drive through the network but
when I’m away from home and can’t get to a WiFi internet connection I still want to use my programs/games that have to have the #1 cd in. Can’t I make the computer think a flash drive is a CD/DVD? Otherwise I have to buy another external drive or buy some program like Alcohol 120% to make a virtual drive to mount my #1 CD’s.

Virtual Drive is your real answer amongst all that, I use powerISO for my mounting etc

Well after doing more research it seems that Windows 8 has everything to mount a ISO image to a virtual drive built in. Now all I have to do is get it to work right.
