Here are my specs:

i5 3570k OC @ 4.5 Ghz. I was able to OC stable to 5.0 but I felt it was unnecessary for what I do. Besides its a monster at 4.5
Ballistix Elite 2x8GB (16) 1866mhz memory
Kraken x40 water cooler
AsRock z77 Extreme 4 mobo
coolmax 700 W modular PSU
EVGA GTX 670 No OC (no need when I get 90 FPS on ultra in bf4)
Scandisk 64 gb SSD
barracuda 1 TB HD

So I am reinstalling windows 7 downgrading from windows 8.

If I reinstall windows with the water cooler on the software will not be installed until I am able to get into windows and install it. When initially building this computer the kraken instructed to not install it until the software was on the machine. So I built it with the fan that came with it and installed it after I got the software on the machine. If I do a fresh install of windows on this computer do I need to do the same thing? remove kraken and install old fan heat sink? :( of course I will clock it to stock when I do this.

Solution
Hey regrebner,

It is 100% fine to use the Kraken without the software on the PC, just unplug the USB header before installing windows (the USB header on the cooler) your motherboard will control everything, and just reinstall the software after finishing your install of windows.
