This printer is very new for me. I don't know how on earth it got the idea I had 830 documents I wanted to print. How do I get rid of them in one fell swoop?

Solution
Did you restart the computer?

You can also stop the spool service

Click Start

Click the Run box

Type services.msc then Enter

Click the Print Spool to highlight it

Click Stop

Go back to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

Delete the remaining 2 files

Restart Computer

Do it right in Windows Explorer. Navigate to:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

Once inside that folder you should see 830 files.

Select all of them. I forget what XP uses to select all. Edit perhaps. In Windows 7 it's the Organize tab.

Once all are selected. Right-Click and delete them all at once.

I was able to find Select All under Edit at the top of Windows Explorer. That blue-highlighted the hundreds of files. After some considerable difficulty I was able to get a right click menu and delete all but two of the files. My printer icon in the tray still says 830 documents pending.
