Hey guys,

I got my new PC 3 -4 months ago and i've build it myself. Since a week, i've been getting some very annoying articfacts that makes most game unplayable because i can't see what is going on.

This link is a video that i recorded showing the problem. Is it my GPU or my display that does this ? It also do some similar things in my browsers : some places disapear and other just become weird flashy colors.

The GPU i have is Gigabyte GTX 660 2GB and my Display is an Asus VS228, The whole thing being connected with and HDMI cable. Ive tried VGA and DVI, still the same problem.

Does anyone have a clue to this ?

I can tell you for certain it's not your monitor, or else you'd have that problem all over the screen. Does it have the same problem on other games as well, or is it isolated to Black Ops? If it's not a unanimous problem across multiple games, it's likely a settings issue. However, if not, I would try to update your drivers; or perhaps try an earlier version if you're up-to-date.

It's not "unheard" of for a Gigabyte card to go bad. I, personally, try to stay away from Gigabyte. That's just my two cents on the matter though.

although it's not unheard of for "X" name card to go bad.......... in the past 10 years I have used many..... many, and only had 2 go belly up. one from over zealous over clocking....... neither was gigabyte.
