Can you run a 2 PSU computer system on 2 house lines

I have a computer system with 2 800W power supplies, works fine. They are setup to simultaneously turn on and eliminate crosstalk...The problem is if I add another graphics card I will be going over the limit of the house line circuit- I can power them off separate house lines but I am wondering if there is a compelling reason NOT to do this.

Currently have 3 GEFORCE GTX 580 and adding a GTX TITAN

(This is a 3d rendering supercomputer, not a bitcoin mining machine, so just breaking it up into 2 systems isn't a good solution for me)

Did you do your math right? What country are you in. In the US we use 110V. The 4 cards all top out near 250W giving you 1000W. I don't know what CPU you are using but assume 100W and another 100W for the other peripherals. 1200W coming from the supplys at even 80% efficiency would be 1500W draw. Dividing by 110V gives you 13.6A. The more efficient the supplies are the lower that amp draw is. I don't know any outlet in the US that isn't rated for at least 15A and most are 20A.

All that being said you could run the line off of 2 circuits but you should be sure it is off of 2 circuits on you fuse/breaker box.

While that's true for the TITAN the fully loaded 580s draw more power (see link), the CPU is the 4930k... when rendering all cards are at full power...

Sadly this is an old house with not many circuits so while what you say would be true if I had a circuit with no other loads on it I do not have that luxury... there are other items connected to all the circuits.

putting 800 W on any of the partially used circuits is not a problem, but 1500 Watts would be. I have looked at ways to elegantly redistribute to free one circuit completely and its a mess...

Thanks for the advice! I have made sure the circuits are different by tripping the breakers...

Yes, its a huge power draw, especially when you consider that the titan is 2 times as powerful in computing power than the 580, yet uses much less power.... sadly the titan costs 3x as much... otherwise I would be using all titans..
