What would be the next best thing in terms of video cards for this stock pc from Gateway? It has been a great system for over three years, and I want to see if I can upgrade the video card a bit. If I need to upgrade the psu, that's fine. Just looking for suggestions.

Windows 7 -64 bit
Intel Core i7 860 - AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series with PCIe 1x16 slot
Ram -8gb DDR3
1 TB Hard Drive
PSU - 500w

Almost anything can work with 500w assuming you have the proper PCIe connectors... What is your budget, and can you fit standard graphics cards or just low profile.

Thank you for the recommendation. But what about that card's interface being PCIe 3.0 and the slot on my board is just PCIe 1 x 16? Will that be an issue for my pc's performance?
