Hi guys quick question here regarding my setup. This is my setup currently.

Intel 15-4670k
Asus Maximus VI hero
8GB Corsair 1866 Dominator ram
Samdisk 480GB SSD
1TB Western Digital Black
LG DVD Rom
PNY 780 video card
Antec Tru Power 850watt PSU

Here is the link to the PSU. http://www.amazon.com/Antec-TruePower-Quattro-Supply-TPQ-850/dp/B000QW5X5Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388981605&sr=8-1&keywords=antec+tpq+850

So I want to add a second 780. Can I do it with this PSU and also my I5-4670K is overclocked to 4.2.

Thanks

Solution

looking at the PSU, yes, It'll run fine but make sure your case has good ventilation as dual 780's in LSI can get hot.
GTX 780 has a TDP of 250W and requires a 6-pin and an 8-pin connector. That power supply has 2 6-pin and 2 8-pin connectors, which is enough for two 780s. It also delivers sufficient power for a pair of 780s and an overclocked Core i5-4670K (the CPU won't draw much more than 100W).

The CPU has a TDP of 84W, but of course overclocking will push it somewhat higher. 4.2 isn't that far above stock though, so it's not a massive difference.

My bad I said i think but I was looking at the i7. 84 Watt TDP is correct.

My case is an Antec 1200. Great airflow and the 780's are the reference design. I chose that design cause I wanted the hot air that the cards will create to be exhausted out of the case. I guess then I am all set to install the second card then?

Thanks again

Antec 1200, great choice and There shouldn't be any airflow issues there, enjoy!
