How much is a broken i5-2400

Hi, my motherboard pins were damaged and apparently my CPU was also damaged (I took my computer into a repair store.) I now have a new CPU and am willing to sell my old i5-2400 that is apparently broken. Is it worth anything to sell?

if you're lucky its free to give to an ewaste program. dead chips are useless.

Looking up completed listings on ebay, one sold for as little as $5. Othes sold at $50 when the person listed missing capacitors. How was the chip damaged? I would have thought it difficult to damage a LGA chip via broken pins, but maybe something else went wrong.

Either way, if you list it, make sure you list that it is damaged / broken and list it in the for for parts / not working category and detail how it's broken.

I don't see anyting obviously broken on the chip. Maybe I'm missing something?

It's a different angle, but this is a picture of an I3-2100 (Same generation, same socket, should look similar, but slight differences in the center arrangement)
