the athlon is out of stock from newegg :/
  3. I say wait or get it else-where, about the only thing with-in your budget. Unless you go to $200 and grab a 6300....may be worth it.

also how will i know if the motherboard will fit my case? are all the desktop motherboards the same size
  6. No. You need to find out what size your case is, and then you'll know. ATX is the largest of the sizes. Google your current tower and find out its specs.

  9. Yes, that CPU is a bit better, not sure how much, but I'm not an expert. And, if your 7770 is fitting in your case now, I'd guess that it will work. Still, I'd research the form factor of your current motherboard and find out if it is ATX, and if not, if your case will hold it. Have a lot of fun!
