Hi everyone,

I know the APU has iGPU but I'm planning to get a decent discrete GPU for gaming purposes.

My estimated budget is very low, so try to keep it under U$100. Give me the best performance for the price.

Thanks.

Crossfire is simple, you need two of the same cards though (with an APU it's called dual graphics), you just plug the cable into each card, connecting them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFAMmTDu_H0 That should help with dual graphics. The 750k would give you much better performance. It is not worth it to get a new GPU just to use your APU with it, because it would still be slower than a 7790. Save up, get a 7790 and a 750k, or even a new motherboard and a 6300.

Hi ewok93,

How about if I plan to have crossfire?
I'm not sure the A6-5400k supports the 7790.

If I'd get that card, that would mean my iGPU would be put to waste.
Is that correct?

I also don't know how to do a crossfire and I'm not sure how it works.
Can you be kind enough to explain?

Thanks,
Adrian

But do you think it's better to get the Athlon X4 750K and pair it with HD7790?

I think that works best, but I'm really on a tight budget right now.

Do you, by any chance, know how to crossfire? If you could show me how, I would really be grateful.

Thanks,
Adrian
