Strange PC issue

Hello everyone! I'm new around here so I hope I posted in the right place. Been following this site for some time and it's very useful. I have to say from the start, my english is not a native language so please have mercy. :)
First, my PC contains the following: E6550 2.33GHz, GA P35-S3, 4X1GB DDR2, Gigabyte 9800GT Zalman 256bit, Sirtec 460W, WD Black. The CPU, PSU, MB and 2xRAM are 6 years old.
So, it all started last week, after removing the dust from my unit (removed my PSU, cleaned it ... it's not the first time when I do this and I had no problems in the past). After I finished, my RAM could not be recognized. Probably a cable issue; they tend to cause some problems sometimes, I guess ... I managed to solve this.
Now, the PC restarts by itself or I lose the image from the screen. It happens mostly while playing. For example, World of Tanks. Having less time, I prefer relaxing in WoT or CS:GO.
I noticed that if I let the video card without a 6 pin cable connected, after some playing I lose my image from the screen, the sound freezes and the ambiental music keeps playing for a while. I have to restart it. But if I connect a 6-pin cable in the video card, the PC shuts down like if it was a power drop and starts itself after 2 seconds.
The temps are fine. My CPU doesn't reach 55C and the video card goes sometimes to 75C but it's not a tragedy, I think. Also, I unchecked the Automatic Restart option from Advanced Settings and I don't get any BSOD.
So, is my PSU dying ? I doubt a video card can be so agressive with a unit. Not to mention that I hear from time to time some electric contact sounds, that "popping" sound or something.
Thanks!

Could very well be possible, i had this happen to me as well in the past, couple of times actually. Esspecially when using a vacuum cleaner instead of a blower. A capacitor probably popped inside the PSU, if possible try finda test PSU so you can be sure if its the PSU. If not then its still highly probable that its the PSU.

Thanks for the answers. A friend who is working in IT recomended me this PSU. I heard they do good and reliable PSUs. They are also known as "High Power" Power Supply. I read that they make units for OCZ too. And yes, as I see on their site, UK is not on their market list ... The PSUs are not so cheap. They tend to be as expensive as known brands.
