How much could I sell my build for?

I want to sell my build I made a couple months back to buy a gaming laptop (Lenovo Y50 to be exact). I'm a college student so I wanted a laptop for college purposes. Also, I like having the ability to be mobile, especially late at night. At times I can't play late (I'm a late gamer) because my room is directly above my parents room and they can hear literally everything I do :-(
I'm use to playing on laptops prior to building my first gaming desktop, but I think its time to go back. I understand the ease of access and changeability for a desktop. I just want a laptop.

How much would I be able to get for my build?

Also, the graphics card is actually an HD 7950 with boost (if that makes a difference).

I've heard parting out is better, but I'm not sure how/where to get started. What happens to the OS? Should I sell in combos?
I don't have the retail boxes, but I DO have the UPC's.
If it helps, I live in Hawaii. I was considering craigslist/a local facebook group but I'm not sure if I'll get much luck there.
Tips?

Thanks a bunch,
Dopey.

You could probably sell it all for maybe 800 if you get lucky. No one will pay full retail for everything. Parting it out is your best bet. If you do go that route you would need to completely format the hard drives using something like Darik's Boot and Nuke to make sure it's wiped clean.

How much could I get for the parts? How much under do I sell.

This is simply my opinion with prices, so YMMV.

$110-125 for the processor.
$15-20 for the CPU heat sink.
$70 for the motherboard.
$80-85 for the RAM, maybe.
$100 for the SSD.
$50 maybe for the HDD.
$225 for the GPU.
$40 for the case.
$50 for the PSU.
$125 for the monitor.

These are the prices that I would consider reasonably fair for resale value. IMHO, like I said, YMMV.

Here's the dilemma; I have different approaches for this.
The laptop comes out on May 2014 so I can either:
Keep the desktop now, work during those months and buy the laptop once it comes out. Once I have the laptop, I can begin parting out my desktop (prices may have dropped).
or
Attempt to sell the desktop as a whole at this moment (prices), if not, part it out. Then just save until then.

I have an old crappy Toshiba laptop on the side but its soooo slow I can't even bare it at times.

I was thinking the first option would be best even though the prices of the parts may drop a bit due to length of ownership/date.

It's a nice build you have there, so it would be a shame to have to sell it just because of your parents hearing you at night. Isn't it possible for you to just get a headset so they can't hear your sound?

The sound is no problem, I have a good pair of headsets. It's just that my footsteps and slight movement on my seat makes the floorboards creak.
I moved my desk to a different corner of the room (that isn't directly above their bed) so I'll see how that goes.
I might just buy a Z40/50 which is half the price of the laptop I want for school purposes later in the year.
I really love my build, so I guess only time will tell!

I appreciate the help from everybody.
